A sports communications veteran who traveled the country before returning to his alma mater, Kent Partridge is also a member of UWA Society of Golden Key, one of just nine UWA alumni with the distinction of belonging to both the Athletics Hall of Fame and Golden Key. He served as both deputy and associate athletic director at UWA for nine year as before taking on the duties of athletic director in June 2021. In addition to his duties in sports communications, he also served for eight years as the play-by-play radio voice for UWA baseball. Partridge served as a vice president for communications for the National Basketball Association and also was the coordinating producer for ESPN and NBA TV on a sports Emmy nominated 16-episode all-access documentary called “Down Low: Life in the D-League” while ghost writing columns for NBA Hall of Famer Alex English. He served as director of public relations for the XFL Birmingham Thunderbolts, as well as directed media relations and sports information operations at Auburn University, Texas Tech University, Samford University and the University of Montevallo.
