Timmons, a native of Tuscaloosa, played both volleyball and softball for UWA from 1988-92. She was a first-team All-Gulf South Conference pick and Most Valuable Player of the GSC in 1991. She also made the All-GSC Tournament Team in 1990 and 1991.
In softball she was an outstanding centerfielder and helped lead the Tigers to three GSC Championships. She was an All-GSC pick in 1992 and an All-Region choice in 1991 and 1992. She holds the season record for stolen bases with 34 and the career record for stolen bases with 96. She is 4th in career runs scored with 111 and batted .319 for her career.
Timmons is currently a paramedic/firefighter for the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
