Steve Hyche, a native of Cordova, Ala., played for West Alabama from 1985-88 and earned All-GSC and All-American honors in 1988. Over his career, he totaled 321 tackles, 217 solos and 104 assisted, 20 tackles for a loss, three fumble recoveries, seven forced fumbles, four interceptions and six sacks. He was named to the UWA and GSC Team of the Decade for the 1980s and was selected to the GSC Silver Anniversary Team.
