Gears earns UWA's first-ever women's soccer weekly honor after leading the Tigers to a 2-0 mark. The freshman started the week by netting two goals in UWA's 3-2 overtime win over Division I Alabama State. She began the scoring with a goal in the ninth minute and followed with the game-winner just over four minutes into extra time - giving the Red and White their first overtime win in program history. The Ripon, North Yorkshire, UK native continued her impressive play in Tigers' first-ever conference victory, scoring the go-ahead goal in a 1-0 win over Delta State at 57:12.
