Football Gameday Operations

Below is a list of items that are for the 2024 game-day experience at Tiger Stadium.

Ticketing
UWA offers contact-less ticketing if desired. Our mobile ticketing allows for a safe fan experience with quick and convenient entry on game day. Mobile ticketing also reduces the risk of lost tickets while providing the ability to easily manage, transfer, or sell your tickets anytime from your smartphone.

It is strongly encouraged that all fans download their tickets before game day. Just prior to reaching the gates, fans will simply open their digital wallet on their smartphone, select their game tickets, and hold their smartphone near the scanner.

Purchasing Tickets
Ticketing is available to purchase two ways. Ticket purchasers will be able to manage their tickets on their smartphone via the Hometown Fan App.

  1. Game Day Tickets – The ticket booth is located at the stadium entrance near the Wallace Hall Parking lot.  $15 – General Admissions, $30 – Reserved, 3 & under - Free.  All forms of funds will be accepted Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Credit cards will incur a processing fee.

Ticket Transfer
Ticketholders may transfer their tickets to a friend in the event they are unable to attend. Transfer Ticketing 

***Season Passes are non-transferable. 

Parking
Game day parking will be available 3hrs prior to the start of the game for $5 a car.  Parking will be available until lot is filled.  Campus Parking Lots Map
Wallace Hall Parking Lot –Entrance via Stadium Drive or from University Drive.
Brock/Young Hall Parking Lot   –Entrance via Student Union Drive
Red Reserved Parking Lot –Entrance via Hopkins Street Only

Red Lot Reserved Parking
Tiger Club Members please park in the designated Red Lot. As a member, you receive 1 RED LOT parking pass. Please display that so that the parking attendant will allow entrance, and leave in a place visible from the front dash of your parked vehicle.
When the red lot is full, you must park in other designated game day parking- we apologize for any inconveniences.

Handicap Parking
The Campus School Parking Lot has been designated as the Handicap parking lot for Tiger Stadium.  Entrance will be from University Drive.  Wallace/Young/Brock Hall Parking lots do have designated handicap parking spaces as well. 

RV Parking
RV parking can be purchased by contacting Janet Montgomery via email at jlm@uwa.edu or by phone at 205-652-3630. RV parking is $25 a night or $50 for the weekend and will begin 5 p.m. the day before a Tiger home game and will end at noon the day after. RV Parking is available in the purple shaded area in the Red Lot and Wallace Hall Parking Lot.  Campus Parking Lots Map

Tailgating

Tailgating is allowed outside of Tiger stadium only on the grass areas around campus and adjacent to parking lots.      
Rules & Policies - Policies
- Tents are prohibited in parking lots that prevent traffic flow or that take up a parking spot.
- Grills are allowed, but must be removed upon departure.
- All trash is to be removed upon departure.
 
Stadium Entry
There will be two entrances to Tiger Stadium for All Fans. 
Stadium Opens 90 minutes prior to game time. (12:30pm or 2:30pm)
Main Stadium Entrance is located under the large black tent near the entrance of the Wallace Hall parking lot on Stadium Drive.
University Drive Entrance is located at the end of University Drive and Stadium Drive.
Campora Athletic Complex-Tiger room entrance is located at the Red Lot Reserved Parking off of Hopkins St and Tiger Stadium Drive.
If you must exit the stadium after entrance, you will need to secure a re-entry ticket from the tent before exiting.
 
Concessions
Concession stands will be located near the main gate of the stadium as well as along the concourses of Stadium Drive.

Tiger Room Members
Each member must have a game ticket as well as your Tiger Club Membership pass when you enter the Tiger Room. We will have a check point scanning member passes. Once your pass has been scanned, it is not valid for rescan until the next game. You will receive a wristband that indicates to workers that you have TIGER CLUB ACCESS. Depending on the way you purchased your membership, you passes were either mailed, emailed, or texted to you.

The easiest way to keep up with all of your passes is by using the Hometown Fan App. (Tickets/passes in the app are linked to your telephone number, if your passes/tickets are missing from your app, please notify us and we will attempt to link your cell phone number)

Restrooms
Restroom facilities are located within the main stadium as well as on the visitor's side near the visitor gate.  All restrooms are regularly cleaned and disinfected prior to each game. During the game, restroom attendants also regularly clean and disinfect.

Guest Services Center
UWA Athletics is committed to providing an exceptional experience for all guests who visit Tiger Stadium. Please notify any game day worker with a credential on if you should have any issues. For lost and found items, please contact Christi Wade @ 205-652-3440.

Streaming
The Gulf South Conference (GSC) has an agreement with FloSports to broadcast all GSC football, basketball, soccer and volleyball games and championship tournaments. All West Alabama football games can be viewed at FloFootball.com. FloSports is the only option for video livestream per Gulf South Conference directive.

Broadcasting
Tiger football will be broadcast on SLY 104.9 with Will Atkinson on the call. The Tiger Tailgate show starts 30 mins prior to all games.  Please download the SLY1049 APP

Prohibited Items in Tiger Stadium

The following items are prohibited in Tiger Stadium at all times.
  • Animals (service animals are permitted)
  • Artificial noisemakers (bells, horns, whistles, etc.)
  • Coolers
  • Outside food & drinks
  • Weapons & firearms &/or any other item deemed dangerous, unnecessary, inappropriate or suspicious in nature
Umbrellas are allowed as long as they do not block any spectators view.

Game Day Emergencies

Inclement Weather/ Lightening – If lighting is detected in the area, the public address announcer will provide a statement over the PA with instructions on where to go for safety.  UWA's policy is for all spectators to exit the stadium and return to their vehicles. Severe Weather – All spectators will be instructed to exit the stadium and take immediate shelter in Wallace Hall, which is a designated university storm shelter.
