A freshman volleyball player, Sadie Beam hit the ball well for UWA last week. The Addison, Ala., native totaled 34 kills in three Gulf South Conference matches, including 17 kills against league-leader West Florida on Friday night. She helped the Tigers pick up a win against New Orleans on Saturday to put UWA at 20-10 overall, 8-5 in the GSC.
