Matthew Magee played a pivotal role this week for the Tigers as UWA took down No. 3 Delta State. West Alabama outscored the Statesmen, 26-11, through the course of three games with Magee responsible for 10 of those runs with his 10 RBI. The Petal, Miss., native had seven hits in the series and belted a seventh-inning grand slam in the third and decisive game of the three-game set. That grand slam put the Tigers up for good in the 9-4 win on Sunday. Defensively, Magee also had a stellar glove for the Tigers as he was part of an infield that committed only one error on the weekend.
