Gears was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2012 NCAA Division II Women’s All-South Region team. She played in 19 games, leading the Tigers with 14 goals, 10 assists, three game-winning goals and a .614 shots on goal percentage. Gears was third in the GSC in points with 38, fourth in the GSC in goals and tied for second in assists. Her 101 total shots and 5.3 shots per game led the conference
