Armando Fierro carried the torch for the West Alabama men's track team at the MC Season Opener, winning the 1,500 meters and finishing fourth in the 800. Fierro’s winning time in the 1,500 meters was 4:10.52. He ran a 2:00.01 in the 800 meters.
