Tori Smith was named as the Co-GSC Freshman of the Year, sharing the award with Maria Uribe Astolfi of West Georgia.

Smith led the Tigers, in their inaugural season, with an average single round score of 82 through 21 rounds. She led the all freshman team to its first tournament win at The Buccaneer tournament held by Christian Brothers. She finished 7th while shooting 161.

The Killen, Ala. native carded her best single round score of 78 in the final round of the Gulf South Conference tournament, missing the All-Tournament team by one stroke in ninth place.
