West Alabama quarterback Harry Satterwhite has been named the Gulf South Conference offensive player of the week for his performance in the Tigers’ 62-0 win over Shorter this past Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
The junior from Mobile, Alabama, threw four touchdown passes while completing 27-of-36 for 248 yards. He was not intercepted.
Through five games, Satterwhite has completed 72 percent of his passing attempts (139-for-193) for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns. He has been intercepted just twice and has a passer rating of 141.53.
Satterwhite leads the GSC in yards passing per game at 258.2, total offense at 259.4 and total passing yards at 1,291. He is the trigger man for a UWA offense that leads the conference in passing yards per game (295.4), scoring (45.8) and total offense (477.0).
