West Alabama midfielder Liam Ireland has been named the Gulf South Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for his performance in three wins throughout the previous week against South Carolina-Aiken, Auburn-Montgomery and Montevallo.
 
The dynamic senior from Edinburgh, Scotland scored a goal against USC-Aiken, registered an assist against AUM and capped the week with both of the Tigers' goals in a 2-0 victory over Montevallo.
 
Ireland has started to heat up as UWA heads down the ending stretch of the season, scoring all of his four goals in the last four games on 11 total shots which is good for second on the team in total goals on the season.
