Box Score

LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West Alabama women's basketball team claimed its third straight Gulf South Conference win with a 69-64 victory over West Florida on Wednesday evening at Pruitt Hall. The win improves UWA to 6-16 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.

Larrenda Rockwell led a quartet of Tigers in double figures with 14 points. Keiara Middleton tabbed in 13 points while Erin Courington added 12 points. Dakota Powell rounded out the double digit producers with 10 points. Qweetta Ward paced the Red and White on the glass with nine rebounds.

Following a Sabrina Stambouli three-point attempt to tie the game, Powell toed the free throw line and knocked down two shots from the stripe to ice the victory for the Red and White. The Tigers staved off multiple Lady Argo advances at the lead in the second half but the Red and White wouldn't relinquish its margin to the Blue and Green, earning their third win in a row at home against UWF.

UWA, which led by as many as 11 points in the contest, received 31 points from its bench led by Rockwell's point total. The Tigers forced 17 Lady Argo turnovers and turned the miscues into 17 points.
Dominique Boykins led UWF in scoring with 16 points followed by 15 from Amy Drake and 11 from Stambouli. Boykins also led the Lady Argos on the board with seven rebounds.
