LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama women's soccer team (6-7, 1-3 GSC) gave up five goals in the second period to Christian Brothers Tuesday afternoon, losing to the Lady Bucs by a score of 6-0.
 
In a tight first half, the Tigers held CBU scoreless for 29 minutes until Sarah Catherine Ryan kicked in a goal off of the assist from teammate Amanda Smith with 15:44 remaining to give the Lady Bucs their first lead.
 
The teams would remain even through the final minutes of the opening period and into the second. From there, CBU scored five unanswered to take the win and move the team's record to 5-5-2 overall and 2-2 in the GSC.
 
The Tigers were led by freshman 
Nicki Gears who had four shots on the day, while 
Jess Martin had four saves. Allison Tutt led the Lady Bucs with two goals scored and one assist on another score.
 
UWA now entertains Lindenwood Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
