Tiger Soccer Travels to West Florida for Conference Road Tilt

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Following a tough double-overtime defeat Wednesday against the University of Alabama at Huntsville, the University of West Alabama women's soccer team (3-4, 0-1 GSC) faces West Florida Saturday in hopes of picking up the school's first conference win.

Kickoff between the Tigers and UWF is slated for 7:30 p.m. Saturday night, with UWA going against a squad that has posted an even 2-2-2 record so far this year.

UWA is led by Nicki Gears who has posted a team-high 13 shots on goal with a .520 shots on goal percentage. Nicola Gibson moved into a tie with Gears this past Wednesday with her goal against the Chargers, giving her three on the season.

West Florida enters Saturday's affair following a close game of its own. UWF went to overtime against Kennesaw State on Sept. 18, with the match ending in a 1-1 tie. The Argos are led by Tina Murray who has a team-high 14 shots on goal.

Following Saturday's contest against UWF, the Tigers travel to Young Harris, Ga., to take on Young Harris College on Sept. 30 at 3 p.m.
