LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama women's soccer team (1-1) travels to the state of Georgia this weekend for a pair of road contests at Georgia Southwestern and Clayton State.

Graeme Orr's squad starts its swing through the Peach State Friday with a stop in Americus, Ga., to take on Georgia Southwestern in a 4 p.m. kickoff. The Tigers will then make the trek to Morrow, Ga., to face Clayton State on Sunday. Game time for that contest is slated for 1 p.m.
In its inaugural season, the UWA soccer team is hoping to build on a 2-1 victory last week over Judson College. In that game, midfielder
Nicola Gibson kicked in a pair of goals to give the school its first-ever victory in soccer.
UWA's roster features 25 new student athletes with 18 of those being freshmen on the West Alabama campus. Statistically, the Tigers have had 11 shots on goal, while goalkeeper
Jess Martin has 11 saves through two games.
Following the weekend trip, the Red and White return home to face Columbus State on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
