Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – Union's Kayleigh Patterson posted her first game-winning goal of the year in the 31st minute to defeat West Alabama 1-0 in Gulf South Conference action on Sunday.

Union (5-4-3, 3-2-2 GSC) out-shot West Alabama (9-5, 4-3) 14-7 to serve the Tigers its second loss in regulation this season.
The Bulldog's starting goalkeeper Emily Waggoner completed four saves on four on-goal shots faced to shutout the Tigers for the first time in regulation play; second time on the year.

Issy Foster recorded eight saves on nine on-goal shots faced to tally her second best save percentage of .792.
Patterson's goal was a rebound off of a save by Foster. Kelsey Wilkes was credited with the assist; her first this season.
UWA will now prepare to face the only other team to hold them scoreless this season, Delta State. The Tiger's fell to the Statesman 1-0 in double-overtime in non-conference action on the road earlier this season.
The Tigers faceoff with the Statesman on Friday at 5 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.Â
