West Florida Hands UWA Tennis Losses

PENSACLOA, Fla. – The University of West Florida put together a sweep of the University of West Alabama tennis teams Wednesday at the Ralph “Skeeter” Carson Tennis Complex. UWF won the men's match 8-1 and the women's match 9-0.
 
The losses evened both UWA teams' records at 1-1. The match was the season opener for the Argonauts and Lady Argos.
 
Kike Ruiz was the lone winner for the West Alabama men in No. 5 singles, defeating Felipe Frattini 1-6, 7-6 (10-2).
 
The Tigers' next match is Tuesday at Mississippi College. The match begins at 2 p.m. UWA's next home match is Feb. 14 when GSC opponent Shorter visits Livingston.
