CLEVELAND, Miss. – West Alabama women's soccer fell in a non-conference match to Delta State 1-0 in its second double overtime of the season.

"Today we were below par after playing really well three games in six days," said UWA head women's soccer coach Graeme Orr. "We must focus and get back to get the ball down and moving it faster."

West Alabama (2-2) held Delta State (1-3) to a scoreless stalemate for 113 minutes. DSU's Charlotte Benson cemented the Lady Statesmen's first victory of the season with a header off of a pass from Meredith Wilkes in the 114'.

The Tiger's starting goalkeeper, Issy Foster ended with her second highest tally of saves this season with seven.    

UWA will now travel to Rome, Ga. to take on Shorter University in another non-conference match. The match is set for 4 p.m.
