INDIANAPOLIS – The second of the 2015 NCAA Division II South Region Women's Soccer Rankings were announced on Wednesday with the University of West Alabama listed in ninth place.

Five Sunshine State Conference teams and five Gulf South Conference teams split the Top 10 of the South Region. Nationally ranked No. 8 Barry University remains in atop the region, followed by No. 24 North Alabama in second and Tampa third.

West Florida and No. 16 Nova Southeastern round out the top five, respectively, while Rollins, Lee and Florida Tech sit sixth, seventh and eighth. Christian Brothers, who was eliminated by West Florida in the first round of the conference tournament ranked 10th.  

West Alabama (10-5-2; 8-3-1 in the GSC) will be making its third consecutive trip to the GSC Tournament Semifinal round  to face the No.1 seed North Alabama (14-2-1; 10-2) on Friday. The match is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Florence, Ala.
