PENSACOLA, Fla. – Top-ranked West Florida won for the 13th time in 14 outings, defeating West Alabama, 8-1, in men's Gulf South Conference tennis Tuesday at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
The Argos extended their current win streak to four matches while improving to 13-1 overall and 5-0 in the GSC. West Florida is 7-0 against South Region opponents. West Alabama dropped to 4-3 and 2-2.
Manuel Grossmann picked up West Alabama's lone win, defeating Sebastian Sanchez, 6-3, 6-3 in No. 5 singles.
The Tigers continue their stay in Pensacola, meeting BYU-Hawaii at 1 p.m. Wednesday and then travel to Orange Beach, Ala., to face GSC foe Delta State on Thursday at 10 a.m.
