Tigers Defeat UAH, Move On to Play West Florida in GSC Tennis Semi-Finals

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After losing two of three doubles courts the West Alabama men's tennis team came from behind to defeat Alabama Huntsville in the quarterfinal round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament at the O'Connell Tennis Center Saturday morning.
 
The victory over the Chargers moved the Tigers to the semi-final round against top-seeded West Florida, who is ranked No. 2 in the nation. That match was to start around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
 
Christopher Woods, Manuel Grossmann, Caspar Schuetze and Nicolai Jochamowitz stormed back to win courts three through six to ensure the West Alabama win over UAH.
 
Adam Drysdale and Grossmann picked up the Tigers win in doubles, winning 8-2 on the No. 1 court.
