HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of West Alabama men's tennis team snapped a three-match losing skid by crushing Gulf South Conference opponent Alabama Huntsville, 8-1, Monday.
The Tigers improved to 10-8 overall and 5-3 in GSC play. The Chargers dropped to 2-14 and 1-7.
West Alabama won each singles match in straight sets. Alabama Huntsville's only point was at No. 3 doubles.
The Tigers have already nailed down the No. 4 seed in the upcoming GSC Tournament. The Tigers finish the regular season on the road Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. UWA plays at Division I Jackson State Wedensday, against No. 8 Valdosta State in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday and is at No. 10 Columbus State on Sunday.
