Tigers Fall to No. 11 Georgia College

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Georgia College won all three doubles points before taking an 8-1 men's college tennis victory over a depleted West Alabama squad Sunday at the Bud "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex on the University of West Florida campus.

"Our men went out against a strong Georgia College team and I believe we competed well at four of the six spots that we played," UWA coach Jeff Beaman said.

Playing with a shorthanded roster, West Alabama was not able to field a player at No. 5 and 6 singles or a full doubles team at No. 3. Christopher Wood picked up the Tigers only win, defeating Anton Wearn 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 at No. 3 singles.

The Tigers return to action at Auburn Montgomery at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
