International Programs Providing UWA Soccer Fans Free Ice Cream

LIVINGSTON, Ala. –The University of West Alabama Department of International Programs, along with the International Club, is sponsoring a free ice cream giveaway between Tiger women and men's soccer games Friday at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers are host to Gulf South Conference rival West Florida in both games. The women kick off at 5 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m. UWA students are admitted free with a valid Tiger ID.

The ice cream social is in honor of international players on the two Tiger soccer rosters. The Tiger women have eight international players and the UWA men have 12. New players for the 2017 season have come to UWA from the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Finland and Portugal.

The West Alabama cheerleading squad will be serving ice cream and toppings to all UWA students, domestic and international, from 7-7:30 p.m. on the concourse at Tiger Stadium. Opportunities to join the International Club will also be available at the game.
