Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Sarah Miles

Tigers Blank AUM, 3-0

LIVINGSTON, Ala.– The West Alabama Women's Soccer team defeated the visiting Warhawks from Auburn Montgomery by a score of 3-0 in Gulf South Conference action Friday night in Tiger Stadium.
 
UWA moves to 7-3-1 overall and 5-2 in the GSC. AUM falls to 2-7 and 2-5 in the conference.
 
Anele Komani got the scoring started for the Tigers with her seventh goal of the season 25 minutes into the first half. TeMia Pride followed soon after with her 10th goal of the season 32 minutes into the game. Ellie McKenzie and Alina Kosunen both collected an assist. 
 
Pride scored her second goal of the game and 11th goal of the season with five minutes remaining in the game. The goal came after having a goal called back for being offsides. Bailee Martin collected the assist on Pride's second goal.
 
Goalkeeper Tabitha Weldon made 13 saves in her complete game performance. 
 
"I'm happy with the result. Any time you play with confidence and keep a clean sheet we're happy," Coach Graeme Orr said. "We were able to capitalize well on chances."
 
The Tigers are back in action on Sunday when they take on Montevallo at 4:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
