LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama won every match it finished on the way to a 6-1 men's tennis victory over Marion Military Tuesday at the Vaughan Tennis Complex.
 
Julius Kaverinen, Ilia Dehodiuk, Ilari Vesanen, Henrik Sinkko and Anton Lof all earned straight set singles wins. MMI's lone point came courtesy of an injury default in No. 3 singles.
 
The day began with West Alabama devouring MMI in doubles play. Sinkko and Dehodiuk defeated Blake Brown and Nathan Johnsen, 6-0, at N0. 1. Lof and Noah Johansen were also 6-0 winners at No. 3 over Thomas Chairs and Justin Matthews. Vesanen and Erik Nordblom were 6-2 winners at No. 2 doubles.
 
West Alabama's string of exhibitions or matches that do not count toward the season record has now concluded. The Tigers head to Midlothian, Texas for three matches this weekend against UT-Tyler on Friday, St. Edward's on Saturday and Ouachita Baptist on Sunday.
 
The Tigers next home match is Feb. 24 against Columbus State. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
