Tigers Fall in Pair of Top 25 Matches

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The nationally-ranked West Alabama men's and women's tennis teams both came up on the short end of matches against teams ranked in the top six Sunday in neutral sites matches played on the University of West Florida campus.

Saint Leo men's tennis team, ranked fifth nationally, handled 16^th-ranked West Alabama, 4-0. Saint Leo improved to 7-2, while UWA dropped to 5-5.

Saint Leo sixth-ranked women defeated No. 24 West Alabama, 4-1. Saint Leo's women are now 6-4, while UWA dropped to 4-4.

West Alabama returns to Gulf South Conference play Tuesday, hosting Montevallo at the Vaughan Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 3 p.m. Saint Leo is host to Tarleton State Wednesday.
