No. 22 Tigers Beat Lee to Stay Undefeated in GSC

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – West Alabama, ranked No. 22 in the nation, split six singles matches and took the doubles point to earn a 4-3 Gulf South Conference men's tennis match over Lee Sunday at the DeVos Tennis Center.
 
West Alabama evened its record at 4-4 overall and stayed undefeated at 3-0 in GSC play with the win over the Flames. Lee dropped to 6-4 and 1-3.
 
Ilari Vesanen and Ilia Dehodiuk were 6-2 winners at No. 1 doubles, while Christopher Bulus and Nuutti Jokinen won 6-1 at No. 2.
 
Bulus, Vesanen and Dehodiuk all battled through tiebreaks to earn victories on singles courts one, two and three, respectively. Lee took wins on singles on courts four, five and six.
 
West Alabama remains on the road with a GSC match at No. 5 West Florida on Tuesday. Lee travels to Division I UT Chattanooga on Wednesday.
