LIVINGSTON, Ala – The nationally ranked West Alabama tennis teams will be back in action Saturday afternoon at Columbus State at 2:00 PM at the John W. Walden Tennis Center in Columbus, Ga.
The UWA men enter the non-conference match with a 1-0 record. Columbus State's men have a 2-0 record and will be playing against Auburn-Montgomery Friday afternoon.
The UWA men are ranked No. 25 in the country, while Columbus State is ranked No. 7 in the men's ITA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll.
Ilari Vesanen and Lucas Hammond are ranked No. 24 in the men's ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Doubles Rankings. The duo did not play together against MC.
Columbus State has a pair of doubles teams ranked in the top five of the same poll. Alvaro Regalado and Javier Cueto Ramos are ranked No. 1 and Tommaso Schold and Pietro Martnetti are ranked No. 3.
Regaldo for CSU is the No. 1 player in the nation in the men's ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Singles Rankings as well as Ramos who is the No. 8 singles player.

The Tiger women's team is 1-0 overall and is currently ranked No. 5 In the Division II Women's ITA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll. Columbus State's women are ranked No. 7 and are 1-0 this season. CSU will be playing AUM Friday afternoon.
Katia de la Garza and Haina Franco are ranked No. 4 in the women's ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Doubles Rankings. For the Lady Cougars, Mariana Ramirez and Valentina Abrile are ranked No. 16 in the same poll.
In the Women's ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Singles Rankings, Franco is ranked No. 22 Garza is ranked No. 24. Ramirez is ranked No. 25.
