UWA Tennis to Face Shorter in GSC Matchup

LIVINGSTON, Ala – The West Alabama tennis teams will travel to Rome, Ga. to take on Shorter in a Gulf South Conference matchup beginning at 1 p.m. CST Tuesday at the Walt Attaway Tennis Complex.

Both UWA men and women have a 1-1 overall record and a 1-0 GSC record.

The Shorter men's team has a 0-1 record and was defeated by Delta State 7-0. The Shorter women will bring a 0-1 record into the match and lost to Delta State 6-1.

UWA is coming off a road non-conference match against Columbus State, the men lost 6-1 and the women lost 3-4.

The UWA men are ranked No. 25 and the women are ranked No. 5 in the ITA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll.
