UWA Hoops is Set to Host Delta State and Mississippi College

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team hosts two Gulf South Conference games this weekend. The Tigers host Delta State on Thursday at 5 p.m., and Mississippi College on Saturday at 2 p.m. 

The Tigers are 15-10 overall and are 9-8 in GSC play. DSU comes to Livingston with a 11-12 overall record and are 9-9 in the conference. MC heads into the weekend with a 14-11 overall record and is also 9-9 in conference play.

Tazsa Garrett-Hammett moves up to fourth in the GSC in scoring, averaging 17.2 points per game. The LaGrange, Ga. native is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game, ranking her 12th in the conference. 

Bria Dent is ranked third in the GSC for rebounds, leading the Tigers with 9.8 rebounds per game. The Birmingham, Ala. native is also averaging 14.4 points per game, ranking her 10th in the conference in scoring.

There will be no admission charge for the game. Fans are encouraged to social distance. Doors will open one hour before tip-off.
