Wilson Igbinovia Signs with UWA Men's Tennis

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama head tennis coach Jeff Beaman has announced the signing of Wilson Igbinovia to join the UWA men's tennis roster.

"I look for Wilson to make an immediate impact here at UWA and with last year's starters returning, I believe we have the talent to be a top ten team in the nation," Beaman said.

Igbinovia joins the Tigers from Lagos Island, Nigeria and has been ranked as high as second in the Nigeria Senior Rankings and was ranked as high as first in the Nigeria Junior Tennis Rankings.

The incoming freshman has put together a 30-4 record in International Tennis Federation Tournaments and is ranked 258th in the ITF Junior Rankings.

"Wilson is an extreme talent that is really under the radar and will represent Nigeria in the Davis Cup, along with former UWA All-American Christopher Bulus later this month," Beaman said.
