Women's Soccer Travels to Mississippi for Two GSC Matches

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama women's soccer team is set to travel to Cleveland, Mississippi to take on Delta State on Friday at 1 p.m. at Delta Field and then play at Mississippi College on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Robert P. Longabaugh Field. Both matches will be Gulf South Conference games.
 
UWA brings in a 4-2 record and is riding a 3-0 record in GSC play. Delta State is 5-4 and 2-2.
 
West Alabama is led by senior Paige Laidler who has found the back of the net four times and picked up one assist. Sophomore Dana Cruz has scored three goals in the last three games and leads the team with four assists.
 
Graduate senior Maria Mon has been handling goalkeeper duties and has 27 saves and has faced 55 shots.
 
Delta State's Jae'lasha Julien has scored three goals while Rainey Niles has knocked in two goals. Bailey Daughterty has 20 saves and has allowed eight goals.

Mississippi College brings in a 5-2 record and is 2-1 in conference play.
 
MC's Erin Hederman has scored eight goals on 21 shots. Avery Hederman leads the Choctaws with five assists.
