Men’s Tennis Takes Down Shorter and Blue Mountain

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama men's tennis team defeated Shorter 7-0 and Blue Mountain 4-0, last Saturday at Vaughan Tennis Complex.

"Men had a clean sweep against Shorter and Blue Mountain this past weekend," head coach Jeff Beaman said. "The men improve to a 5-2 overall record."

West Alabama 7, Shorter 0

In doubles play, Ilari Vesanen and Jared Pierce defeated Connor Gunnell and Malachi Wilkins on court No. 3 getting the Tigers first double point. On court No. 2 Ilia Dehodiuk and Loic Danze defeated Yike Liu and Elijah Hagan, 6-4 clinching the doubles point. Marcel Hornung and Lucas Hammond defeated Strahinja Radanovic and Jan Kos, 7-6.

In singles play, the Tigers won on all courts.
