DeVera Joins UWA Men’s Tennis Team

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama men's tennis head coach Jeff Beaman announced the signing of Rowan DeVera.

"To add the No.1 ranked player out of the state of Mississippi is a big addition to our program," Beaman said. "Rowan has a lot of variety to his game and will keep getting better with college competition."

DeVera graduated from Oxford High School in May 2023, where he was a member of the tennis team. He was named First Team All-State three times (2019, 2022, 2023) and represented Mississippi at the Southern Cup twice. DeVera competed in the UTR Tennis Nationals in 2023 and was nominated for Athlete of the Year in 2019.

DeVera was a member of the Mississippi tennis team that represented the state at nationals in 2018. He was ranked No. 1 in U18 male for the state of Mississippi.
