ROME, Ga. – The No. 7 University of West Alabama women's tennis team fell to the No. 4 University of North Georgia by a 5-2 score on Tuesday afternoon from the Rome Tennis Center.
UNG remains unbeaten on the year and improves to 15-0 on the season. UWA drops to 9-8.

Hardija Vidnere and
Shaira Rivera (9-3) picking up the 6-2 at the top flight, the Nighthawks won the next two spots to get out to a 1-0 match lead.
North Georgia kept the momentum into singles with four of six wins to secure the match. Ly had a tiebreak loss in the first set, while Vidnere, after rallying to win the second frame and force a third set, she would lose in the seven-point break, 7-4.
No. 6
Khim Iglupas won her eighth straight match and improved to 12-1 on the season with her 6-1, 2-6, 7-5 result at the top flight.
Valentina Mutilba (2-3) also earned the win at the No. 5 flight with a straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-1.
After playing 16 of its first 17 matches away from Livingston, West Alabama's three of the final five matches will be played at home. The Tigers will step back into conference play to take on Christian Brothers to start a two-match home stand. It all starts on Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Vaughan Tennis Complex.
