LIVINGSTON, Ala. - In back-to-back meets, the University of West Alabama Men's Cross Country's Lorenzo Pelusi has been named the GSC Freshman of the Week.

After taking home Freshman of the Week honors two weeks ago after a standout performance at the Firehawk Invitational, Pelusi returned from the Tigers' off week with a 26:32.6 time in the 8K event this past weekend at the Chile Pepper Festival. 

Through four meets, Pelusi has now accumulated two Freshman of the Week honors, creating excitement around the Cross Country program.

Pelusi and UWA will be back in action this weekend for the Charger XC Invitational which will take place in the campus of UAH.
