LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama men's tennis team continues its early-season slate with a home matchup against Spring Hill on Tuesday. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
West Alabama (0-1) is looking to bounce back from its season opener against Alabama State, while Spring Hill will be making its 2025 season debut.
The Tigers are led by returners
Jacob Tapia,
Eita Ishikawa,
Federico Iturbe, and
Vilislav Bonev, who bring experience to the lineup. Bonev and Iturbe each secured singles victories in the opening match, while Tapia, Oliveira, and Almeida will look to respond after dropping their first matches.
In doubles action, UWA will aim for its first win of the season after the duos of
Francisco Oliveira/
Tomas Almeida and
Caden Goldammer/
Eita Ishikawa both fell short in their first matches.
Spring Hill enters the match with a fresh slate, making this their first action of the 2025 campaign.
The Tigers will look to capture their first win of the season when play begins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Livingston.
