LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Softball team was announced as the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament on Monday.
The Tigers enter the Tournament as the No. 3 seed after winning the GSC Tournament Championship and accumulating 43 wins, breaking the school record for most victories in a single season.
No. 1 seed Saint Leo and No. 2 seed West Florida will serve as the host sites. To round out the South Region bracket, AUM holds the No. 4 spot followed by No. 5 Tampa, No. 6 Montevallo, No. 7 UAH, and No. 8 Spring Hill.
No. 3 West Alabama is slated to play No. 6 Montevallo to open up the tournament in Pensacola, Florida on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. CST.
