CASPER, Wyo. - The University of West Alabama Women's Rodeo's Ivy Bone concluded the 2026 College National Finals Rodeo with a Reserve National Championship in the Breakaway Roping event on Saturday.
Bone becomes the first UWA athlete to win a Reserve or outright National Championship since Taycie Matthews in 2024. The sophomore adds this accomplishment to the Reserve Ozark Region Championship that she won back in April.
Bone came into Saturday's Championship Round in second place with a total time of 8.6, before recording her best time of the week in her final run. Bone registered a blazing time of 2.1 to secure the Reserve Championship with a total time of 10.7 seconds and a 2.67 average.
Stone Reeves also competed on Championship Saturday for West Alabama's Men's team. Reeves, along with his partner Bryson Crawford, recorded a 7.2 time which ranked sixth in the round.

As a team, West Alabama's Women's squad finished sixth in the country with 205 points.
The conclusion of the College National Finals Rodeo marks the end of the 2025-26 campaign. Brown, Gordon,
Lane Westrope, and Kross Smith will compete in the Learfield All-Star College Rodeo in July before the 2026-27 season begins in September.
