The idea of never truly leaving home comes full circle for Ashley Stassin as the former University of West Alabama Softball player has joined the program's coaching staff as a volunteer coach for the 2020 season.

A native of Menifee, California, Stassin played for the Tigers from 2015-2017 with the last season being the first season of Carie Dever-Boaz's tenure as head coach of the team.
 
While at UWA, Stassin posted a .326 batting average and .585 slugging percentage with 102 RBIs, 27 doubles and 22 home runs while primarily playing in the outfield, first base and as a designated player. She also pitched 247.1 innings in the circle with a 19-15 record in 67 appearances. She amassed 90 strikeouts and 14 complete games with a 4.92 ERA.
 
Stassin also played shortstop and pitched for the Enköping Base and Softball Klubb in Enköping, Sweden in the Swedish Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSF) during the summer of 2017 after playing career ended in Livingston. She was named the 2017 pitcher by the SBSF for her efforts in the circle.
