Natalie Boyd enters her first season as Graduat Assistant for West Alabama Softball in 2016.
Boyd is a 2015 graduate of Kennesaw State University where she was a four year starter as an outfielder before earning her Bachelors of Science in Psychology. During her student-athlete career, she led helped the Owls to a 2012 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship during the regular season by starting in all but one game as a freshman.
She capped off her career, ranking nationally with the fourth most triples per season and was listed as the NCAA’s 12th Toughest to Strikeout in 2015 with only six strikeouts in 175 at-bats. Boyd led the team with a .400 batting average, 44 runs, 70 hits and 97 total bases. Her efforts culminated in being named a 2015 First Team All-Conference selection.
Boyd also brings with her coaching experience as a three year skills instructor for Champions Fast Pitch Academy in Marietta, Ga.
Prior to her time at KSU, she played her high school ball at Cherokee High School in Canton, Ga. She earned Georgia 5A First Team All-State honors for three consecutive years and currently holds Cherokee High School's all-time single season batting average record, batting .524 during her senior season on the way to helping CCHS to the Region 5- 5A championship.
Boyd, a native of Canton, Ga., now resides in Livingston, Ala. with her husband and UWA Strength and Conditioning Coach, Joe Boyd.Â
