2012: First Team All-Gulf South Conference … Named Second Team All-South Region by Daktronics and the NFCA … Member of the GSC Honor Roll … Made 53 starts on the season … Led the team with a .359 batting average … Registered 66 hits in 184 at-bats … Posted a team-leading six triples on the year while also recording six doubles … Stole 26 bases of 28 attempts … Tallied a season-best four hits on Feb. 18 against Northern Kentucky … Logged a team-best 21 multi-hit outings in her first season with the Red and White with four multiple-RBI contests.

Hampton: Was third last season in batting average at .304 … Tied for the team lead in runs scored with 26 and triples with four … Second in hits with 35 … Named Co-Outstanding Freshman along with Adrianna Scott in 2010 … Second on the team with a .316 batting average … Scored a team-high 42 runs on the season … Had a team-high three triples.

High School: Played both softball and basketball in high school… was named team captain and MVP of the softball squad as a sophomore… earned those same honors again in her junior season… on top of being named softball team captain and MVP again as a senior, she was named team captain of the basketball team… also won the Coach’s Award and the Scholar Athlete Award.

Personal: Tamara Denise Vickers was born Nov. 21, 1991 … Daughter of Debbie and Norman Vickers … Has four brothers, Norman, Thomas, Sherman and Brandon, as well as one sister: Debbie … Majoring in Psychology.
