Dalton Meador joined The University of West Alabama’s athletic training staff in July of 2026, returning to his alma-mater as the athletic trainer for the Tigers football program. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from UWA in December of 2024.
During his undergraduate education, he gained clinical experience working with football, men’s and women’s basketball, and softball. He was fortunate to be a member of the staff as a student that supported UWA’s 2022 GSC Men’s Basketball regular season and tournament championship team.
After graduating from UWA in 2024, Dalton served as an assistant athletic trainer at Samford University in Homewood, AL, where he provided medical coverage for the football and softball programs. While at Samford, he earned professional certifications in Dry Needling Therapies and Intravenous Access (IV) and Fluid Administration, further expanding his clinical expertise.
A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Dalton resides in Tuscaloosa with his fiancé, Hope and their dog, Maverick.
