West Alabama return man and running back Tyreek Hill was named the Gulf South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Tigers 31-22 victory at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
Hill tied a GSC record by returning two kickoffs for touchdowns against the Javelinas of the Lone Star Conference. He extended West Alabama's lead to 22-13 at 1:33 in the third quarter, bringing back a kickoff 74 yards for a score and then etched his name in the record books with 12:12 left to play when his 78-yard TD return upped UWA's lead to 28-19. 
 
For the game, Hill racked up 206 all-purpose yards thanks to 34 rushing and 20 on punt returns.
