Tigers Travel To Birmingham For Tri-Match

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama volleyball team will wrap up its non-conference slate on Tuesday with a pair of matches at Birmingham-Southern College. The Tigers will take on Martin Methodist at 6 p.m. before turning around to play BSC at 8 p.m.

West Alabama will be looking to rebound from a tough weekend in which it dropped three contests at the South Region Crossover to Florida Southern, Lynn and Tampa. The losses push the Red and White to 7-15 on the season.

The Tigers will look to senior Thais Hollerbach to continue to lead the way as she has excelled both offensively and defensively for the team. The Porto Allegre, Brazil native has racked up the most kills with 205 while collecting the second-most digs on the squad with 259.

Martin Methodist – an NAIA member – enters the contest with a 12-15 mark, while the hosts sit with a solid 20-5 record and have won 12 of their previous 13 matches.
