Tiger Netters Host West Florida On Friday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – After playing the first five matches on the road, the University of West Alabama men's and women's tennis team will take to the home courts on Friday, Feb. 19 as UWA welcomes Gulf South Conference power West Florida to campus for the first time in 20 years. Match time is set for 1 p.m.

Both UWA squads enter Friday's GSC tilt with identical 3-2 marks on the season. The Tiger men opened the season with three-straight wins, but will be looking to snap a two-match losing skid on Friday. UWA dropped matches to NAIA foe Union College and former GSC rival Lincoln Memorial last weekend in Birmingham. The UWA women split its matches last weekend, claiming a win over Union before slipping against LMU.

Both UWF squads will trek to Livingston ranked seventh nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's NCAA Division II team rankings.

Following Friday's match, UWA will host Tuskegee University on Saturday, Feb. 20. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
