UWA Suffers 3-0 Setback to North Alabama

FLORENCE, Ala. – Looking for a weekend split, the University of West Alabama volleyball team (13-7, 4-3 GSC) fell to North Alabama Saturday by a score of 3-0.

After falling 25-16 in the first set, the Tigers could not rebound from the opening loss, falling 25-16 in the second and 25-14 in the third game. With the loss, UWA has now lost three-straight matches and four out of the last five after winning six in a row in mid-September.

The Tigers were led by junior Chanel Davis who had eight blocks in 17 total attacks, while libero Casey Byrnes had a team-leading 12 digs.
 
UNA had a strong performance from Natalie Marsh who had 10 kills and a .500 hitting percentage.
 
The Red and White now travel to New Orleans, La., to take on Loyola (La.) for the second time this year on Tuesday night.
