LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
Having ascended back towards the top of the Gulf South Conference East Division, the University of West Alabama women's basketball team will look to sweep the season series from West Florida as it travels to take on the Argos for a 5 p.m. contest on Wednesday.

The Tigers currently sit at second in the division with a 17-5 mark including a 5-3 performance in conference play. UWF is 8-14 (1-7 GSC).

When the teams met in Livingston, UWA had to erase a first-half 17-point deficit to end up with the 66-61 victory. Mystee Dale led the Tigers in the contest as she scored 24 points, including seven of the game's final 10 points to ensure the triumph for her squad.

With a pair of strong performances last week – 27 points against Lambuth and 29 against UAH – Dale has pushed herself back to second nationally with a scoring average of 21.3 points per game. The Laurel, Miss. native is the conference leader in scoring and free throw percentage, and she is ranked in the top 10 in nine of the 12 individual statistical categories.

She is joined in averaging double figures on the season by Latashia Greer who is scoring 12.9 per contest and LaShandra McCoy who scores 10.5 a game.

Entering the game on a slide, the Argos have dropped three straight GSC contests since a 61-52 victory at Lambuth on Jan. 30. A trio of players lead West Florida in scoring as Sher'Ryan Scott (11.8), Octavia Bearden (11.0), and Jessica Young (10.2) all average in double figures.

Scott scored 16 in Livingston, while Young recorded a double-double against the Tigers with a 12-point, 10- rebound showing.

The game will be carried on ESPN 104.9 FM and www.espn1049.com. Links to live video and live stats are available above.
